Typical Usage of Concentrated Extract
2 to 3 grams per day or as directed by your wellness coach. Huo Ma Ren seeds should be crushed before cooking. Dry frying minimizes toxicity and maximizes extraction of the active components. It is also used topically in powder or essential oil form
Cautions & Contraindications
- Avoid unprocessed Huo Ma Ren because it is slightly toxic
- Excessive consumption can lead to blurred vision, convulsions, cramps, delirium, diarrhea, dilated pupils, dizziness, drowsiness, headache, increased heart rate, irritability, muscle spasms, nausea, numb extremities, pale face, restlessness, semi-consciousness, tremor, and vomiting. Symptoms usually occur within 2 hours of ingestion. Symptoms may be treated by ingestiont of egg whites or milk to reduce absorption.
