English Name: Epimedium, short-horned epimedium

Primarily benefits Kidney yang deficiency that manifests in sexual disorders such as impotence, lack of sexual desire, incomplete erection, premature ejaculation, spermatorrhea, low sperm count, soreness and weakness of the lower back and knees and infertility. It also benefits infertility in women arising from Kidney cold and deficiency. People with Kidney yang deficiency may also have Kidney yin or jing deficiency. So it is also recommended that herbs that tonify jing, yin or blood be added to the overall formula to achieve balance and keep Kidney fire from rising.

Dispels Wind-Damp-Cold and Alleviates Bi Zheng (Painful Obstruction Syndrome)
Bi Zheng that causes wind damp cold attacks the channels and blocks circulation of qi and yang to the extremities, therefore warms and unblocks the flow of yang qi. Symptoms include pain and coldness of the limbs, numbness, spasms and cramps of the tendons and muscles.

Cautions & Contraindications:
Use Yin Yang Hua with caution in individuals with yin-deficient fire. This herb should not be taken as a decoction over a long period of time, as it can injure the yin.
