Description
Traditionally, it is used for digestive weakness, bloating, nausea, and fatigue associated with Spleen Qi deficiency and damp-phlegm. In modern functional use, it is commonly applied for chronic gastrointestinal disorders, cough with phlegm, and post-illness recovery where Spleen Qi tonification and damp transformation are needed.

Traditional Indications
Fatigue, lack of strength, dizziness standing up, easy bruising, shortness of breath, possible lack of appetite, possible loose stools, profuse clear or white phlegm, possible swelling or edema, possible bodily heaviness.

Typical symptoms include:

  • Fatigue, weakness, or shortness of breath
  • Loose stools or soft, unformed stools
  • Nausea or vomiting
  • Pale tongue with a white, greasy coating; slippery or weak pulse
